O corpo na fronteira do sagrado e profano: a construção ética da corporeidade através da história

Resumo
No corpo estão inscritas todas as regras, todas as normas e todos os valores elaborados pela construção teológico-filosófica que vêm perpassando as sociedades ao longo das épocas históricas. No mundo religioso, ele é visto como uma construção simbólica, por isso não se pode compreendê-lo pelo biológico, e sim, por sistemas culturais. A preocupação com o corpo passa a ser proibida, e começa-se a delinear a concepção de separação de corpo e alma, prevalecendo à força da alma sobre o corpo.

The human body on the frontier between the sacred and the profane: the ethical construction of corporeality in history
Abstract
On the human body are written all the rules, all the norms, all the values elaborated by theological-philosophical construction, and these have been an integral part of society throughout history. In the religious world, the body is seen as a symbolic construction, and therefore it cannot be understood biologically, but instead only through cultural systems. Preoccupation with the body is increasingly prohibited, and there is beginning to develop the idea of separation between body and soul, with the soul prevailing over the body.
